Membership Committee

What is the Membership Committee all about?

 

The membership committee is responsible for recruiting new members to the Council as well as implementing training and orientation for new members.  The committee also assures that the composition of the Council reflects both that of the state of Colorado as well as the requirements for membership under the D. D. Act.

 

Responsibilities:

 

A.   Implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy for Council and committee membership

B.   Nominate new members and submit to the Governor’s Office of Boards and Commissions

C.   Determine a policy to guide committee assignments for Council members

D.   Determine committee recruitment and policies for non-Council member participants

E.   Implement training events for new members annually and/or as they become members

F.   The Membership committee will develop training events and information for non-Council committee members.

G.   The Membership committee will develop and implement a mentoring program to match incoming Council members with veteran Council members.
