Review of Use / Encumbrances of Funds by Federal Fiscal Year – as of March 1, 2010

Federal Fiscal Year 2008 funds are currently being utilized by two grantees; Cerebral Palsy of Colorado, year three of the Parent to Parent project with a $10,963.81 balance remaining out of a total of $24,999.00 awarded, and by Employment Link / Project SEARCH, with a balance of $70,670.02 on an original year one award of $161,000.00.

Both of these grants need to be spent down by September 30, 2010. Mackenzie and the fiscal committee are monitoring the status.

Federal Fiscal Year 2009 funds are nearly closed out with the conclusion of this particular year’s grant cycle with El Grupo Vida. This grantee has completed its work under the year 2 agreement, and there is a new purchase order in effect for the third and final year.

There are no other open projects affecting the 2009 fiscal year’s funds.

Federal Fiscal Year 2010 funds have been expensed or encumbered for the office space through June of this year, in the amount of $18,156.21 (this is for maintenance fees and rent). Open Purchase Orders include Access & Ability, PEAK, and El Grupo VIDA. The Access & Ability year three grant is for $105,866.00, with a balance of $67,788.00 remaining, and the PEAK grant for year three of the enhanced person-centered planning project taking place in Aurora and Denver began with $118,292.57, and has a balance of $104,778.59.  The newly issued Purchase Order for Grupo VIDA is for $24,999.00.
