Committees

As part of the 5-year plan for the Colorado Developmental Disabilities Planning Council for the period 2007-2011, the Council will be focusing on the following areas of emphasis: employment, health, quality assurance and community supports, and public policy. The Council has created committees to help address some of these areas.

Committees currently in place are: Executive, Multicultural, Planning and Grants, Fiscal Oversight, Membership and Legislative. The committees' chairpersons are Council members, but community members who are not Council members are invited and welcomed to join a committee.

Executive Committee

Fiscal Oversight Committee

Legislative & Public Policy Committee

During the months the legislature is not in session, the Legislative and Public Policy Committee will meet at the State Capitol monthly on the first Monday of each month, from June to December 2009.

During the legislative session the committee meets each Monday. All meetings take place in the basement of  the State Capitol, joining DEAL meetings at 10 AM, followed by the Legislative and Public Policy Committee meeting at 11 AM

The  Multicultural Committee meets on the 1st Tuesday of every month from 9:30 am - 11:30 am. All meetings are at the Council office, 3401 Quebec #6009, Denver.

Please note that the joint meetings with the Planning & Grants Committee will occur from 9:30 to 11:30 AM on June 8, August 10 and October 12, 2010.

Planning and Grants Committee

The Planning and Grants Committee meets every third Tuesday of the month at the Council offices, 2:30 - 4:30 PM

Please note that the joint meetings with the Multicultural Committee will occur from 9:30 to 11:30 AM on June 8, August 10 and October 12, 2010.
