Council Position Statements

Over time, the Council has developed position statements which are also called policy papers, that provide a clear indication of not only the values that drive our work, but also provide details about how we reach conclusions on public policy and grant positions. The papers were developed in accordance with the The Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act. The position statements are used primarily for reference when questions arise around a substantive issue such as the right to communicate or sexuality.
